This is a report of an International Study Group at Oxford, 1960, the second by the National Spastics Society of Great Britain. This report is published as No. 2 of a series of Little Club Clinics in Developmental Medicine. Proceedings of a first conference were not published. Individual papers are assembled according to general subjects as follows: The Spinal Cord and Polymyographic Studies; Metabolism of the Developing Brain; The First Year—Neurology and Development; Paresis; Nonmotor Defects in Cerebral Palsy; The Results of Treatment in Cerebral Palsy; Parents, Patients and Doctors. While the central theme is cerebral palsy, there is throughout a broader view directed to studies in the field of pediatric neurology. The papers are printed in full; the discussions in very condensed but in meaningful form. They report current investigative work shifting to the present concept of cerebral palsy.
