Trans-regional map data loading and displaying method

The invention relates to the technical field of navigation, in particular to a trans-regional map data loading and displaying method. The invention discloses a trans-regional map data loading and displaying method which realizes efficient seamless connection of map data at boundary. The key points of the technical proposal can be summarized as the following steps of: dividing a map according to administrative regions, and then conducting meshing to the map; storing each grid, and conducting unique identification to each grid; then extracting connection point objects generated when storing division; and in the data loading process, loading grid units associated with the connection point objects when the connection point objects exist, deleting the grid units beyond a current display range,and then displaying the map data in reduction way. The trans-regional map data loading and displaying method can realize rapid and seamless map display, and is applicable to navigation terminals.
