MODEL-BASED CONTROL: A SURVEY
1992
This paper surveys the major active areas in model-based control, namely inferential control, model predictive control (for linear and nonlinear processes) and nonlinear variable transformations. There are a variety of algorithms in each of the above areas, and the relative advantages and disadvantage of these techniques are identified. Representative applications of the methods are also discussed.
