2006
Objective To evaluate the association between NSAIDs and gastroduodenal lesions by gastroscopy. Methods Totally 200 consecutive unsrlected patients were diagnosed as gastroduedenal lesions by gastroscopy. Those with gastroduodenal lesions were divided into NSAlDs-related and non-NSAIDs-related groups(group Ⅰand groupⅡ) according to whether taking NSAlDs or not. Results Group Ⅰ accounted for 47.5% and group Ⅱ 52.5%(p0.05)?In group Ⅰ,there were 79.0% aged over60 years,54.3%without sympotom,57.1%with gastric ulcers,11.6% with peptic ulcer accompanied by bleeding All the percentages in group Ⅰ were significantly higher than those of group Ⅱ.The relative risk for upper gastrointestinal bleeding in group Ⅰ compared with group Ⅱ was 7.04(x2=6.217,p0.05). Conclusions There are more special clinical and endoscopic manifestations in patients with NSAIDs-related gastroduodenal Iesions. Should be raised for concerns a higher risk of the upper gastroduodenal bleeding in NSAIDs users.
