Design Scheme of Multifunctional Electric Energy Meter Based on Distributed Sampling Method

2020
This paper investigates and studies the functions and principles of various electric energy metering devices. Meanwhile, it deeply studies mainstream power theories and analyzes both the advantages and disadvantages of them. Combining the actual operation characteristics of power grid, this paper presents a design scheme of multifunctional electric energy meter. This scheme implements a distributed sampling method for electrical analog quantities, uses different filter circuits to achieve different processing of the same signals, and finally configures a variety of metering functions to reflect the different characteristics of the power grid. This scheme can not only realize the accurate metering of active and reactive energy, but also analyze the power distribution of the fundamental wave and each harmonic, which is helpful for the identification of the harmonic sources. Generally, it could better serve the reactive power compensation and the control of system parameters to improve power quality to a large extent.
