The influence of the inhomogeneous dendritic field size of the retinal ganglion cells on the fixation

1994
This paper describes how the variation with eccentricity in the dendritic field size of the retinal ganglion cells affects the fixation. Although the visual information processing in the retina does not directly cause the fixation but gives the input to the oculomotor system [2]. this morphological feature is one of causes to make the spatial resolution inhomogeneous. Therefore it must have some relations with the fixation. which is necessary activity in seeing [4][6].
