The LED street lamp electricity saving control method comprises the following steps that after an LED street lamp is initialized, the LED street lamp works at set brightness; the current sound signal value and the current human approaching signal value are detected in real time through a sound detection device and a human approaching detecting device respectively, and the sound detection device and the human approaching detecting device are arranged on the LED street lamp; the current sound signal value is compared with a preset sound threshold and the current human approaching signal value is compared with a set human approaching threshold; the working brightness of the LED street lamp is controlled according to comparison results. The LED street lamp electricity saving control method controls the LED street lamp to work at higher brightness when vehicles or pedestrians pass through the LED street lamp and controls the LED street lamp to work at lower brightness when no vehicle and pedestrian exist, therefore, unnecessary consumption of electricity of the LED street lamp is reduced and the lighting time of the LED street lamp is prolonged and the lighting efficiency of the LED street lamp is improved in a simple, cheap, safe and non-polluting mode.
