Device for monitoring surroundings of vehicle

2016
When a to-be-monitored image exists in an image that is captured by a monitoring camera but absent from a bird's-eye image necessary for monitoring surroundings, the to-be-monitored image is reliably displayed on a display. Cameras 6F, 6B, 6L, 6R are provided at the front, back, left and right of a dump truck 1. When the through images captured by these cameras are viewpoint-converted and the overhead images 10F, 10B, 10L, 10R are displayed, the through images captured by the cameras are aggregated into one screen by an image aggregation unit 21 in order for the to-be-monitored image to be displayed in a region where the to-be-monitored image cannot be displayed. The aggregated screen is scanned, and the to-be-monitored image detected, by a to-be-monitored-image detection unit 20, and the to-be-monitored image is superposed on a composite overhead image 10 displayed on a display 9.
