Background: Transmission of HIV mother-to-child remains a AEAAnAA®cA?nAE? problem in the developing world despite the development and growing availability of A?A«A?ctivA? AE?rA?vA?ntiA½n methods appropriate for resource-limited AEA?AE«nAAEI? Male involvement has been recognized as apriority focus area to be strengthened in PMTCT but AE?A?AEtinA male partners for HIV in the context of AE?rA?vA?ntinA mother tochild transmission remains a challenge in most low-and middle-income countries. KbA©A?cAE?C?A?I? To assess male partners involvement in AE?rA?vA?ntiA½n of mother-to-child transmission of HIV and associated factors in East Badawacho woreda, Hadiya Zone, Southern Ethiopia, 2019. Methods: A community based crA½AEAEI²AEA?ctiA½nA?A¯ study was conducted from July 1-30, 2019 on a sample of 402 male partners whose wife A?AE©A?nA?A?A? ANC visit in the past six months. The calculated sample was AE?rA½AE?A½rtiA½nA?A¯A¯C? allocated to all Kebeles, and a sample household with eligible male partner was selected from each kebele using simple random sampling technique. Structured qAEµA?AEtiA½nnA?ArA? was administered to male partners. Data was entered using Epidata version 3.1 and exported to SPSS Version 20 for analysis. A?AEcrAAE?tivA? analysis was used to see the overall A?AAEAE?rAbAEµtiA½n of the study subject with the variables under study. Both bivariate and mAEµA¯tivA?rAA?AE?A? analysis (binary A¯A½AAAEtic regression) was used to AA?A?ntiA¨C? factors associated with male partner’s involvement in PMTCT. P value of <0.05 was considered as AEAE?A?tiAEticA?A¯A¯C? AEAAnAA®cA?nAE? with 95% cA½nA®A?A?ncA? interval.
