Serengeti III: Human Impacts on Ecosystem Dynamics
2009
When the first synthesis volume of research carried out in the Serengeti was published (Sinclair & Norton-Griffiths 1979) it quickly became a classic of African (and global) ecology. The second volume, Sinclair & Arcese (1995), focused on conservation issues. As with sequels to Hollywood blockbusters, this is a hard act to follow, but Serengeti III: Human Impacts on Ecosystem Dynamics in paperback succeeds in its own right.
