Preparations of a natural origin, in particular extracted from hydrobionts, are able to normalize metabolism and to increase antioxidative status of human organism. Biologically active supplements to food (BASF), which contain up to 70 % of free amino acids from bivalves, were developed and are produced in TINRO-Center, Vladivostok. The unique structure of the amino acid components is notable by presence of the non-proteinogenic acids as citrulline, ornithine, b-alanine, taurine, and also histidine-contained dipeptides as carnosine, anserine, and homocarnosine. Antioxidative action of these components connects with their ability to serve as a trap for peroxide and hydroxide radicals, atomic oxygen and superoxide-anion oxygen, and to co-operate effectively with hypochloride-anion. Hypocloride-anion neutralization is investigated at presence of pure taurine and BASF "Molluskam" extracted from mussels and scallops. Dynamics of chloramine complexes formation were similar for both substances. They possessed ability to inhibit reaction of formation АВТS·+ (cation-radical 2,2 asinobis-3-ethil-benzotiadolin-6-sulfonic acid). The volume of antioxidative activity (Trolox-equivalent antioxidative capacity or ТЕАС) was 45.0 mg/g of dry substance. Soft antioxydative action of the BASF components allows its usage in the dosage necessary for its inclusion in metabolism of certain tissues and organs at recommended directions of application (cardiology, ophthalmology, neurology). Besides, protective effect of the BASF is investigated in vivo and in vitro for accumulation such product of lipids oxidation as malonic dialdehyde (MDA) in blood whey. In the experiment, the oxidation was induced in blood whey in the presence of catalysts, and the antioxidants action for reducing the MDA accumulation was estimated. The brightest effect was reached with the BASF application for patients with the multiple myeloma. In this case, the polychemotherapy led to accumulation МDА, but when the BASF was included in the circuit of treatment, increasing of the peroxides level in blood whey had stopped, and a tendency to decreasing the МDА had appeared, in comparison with the parameters before treatment.
