The invention relates to a calibration method of a combustible gas detector, which comprises the steps of calibration of indication errors, calibration of alarm errors and calibration of response time and is characterized in that the calibration of the indication errors comprises the procedures of: firstly, energizing the detector to preheat the detector stably, then respectively introducing 220ml/min of zero gas and standard gas with the concentration of 40% LEL (Lower explosive Limit), and calibrating a zero point and an indicating value of the detector; then respectively introducing standard gas with the concentration of 10% LEL (Lower explosive Limit) and standard gas with the concentration of 60% LEL (Lower explosive Limit), and recording the stable indicating value of the detector; and carrying out three times of calibration on each gas monitoring point. According to the calibration method, the field calibration can be carried out in each quarter, the misinformation and misreporting phenomena of the combustible gas detector can be timely eliminated, the problems of deficient manpower and material resources caused by short calibration period are solved, and the safety operation of pulverized coal silo and the normal operation of a generator set are ensured.
