The invention discloses a monitoring method of breakwater foundation settlement. The monitoring method of breakwater foundation settlement comprises the following steps: 1) before construction of a breakwater, arranging a steel wire hose through which a traction steel wire penetrates on a breakwater foundation; driving two fixing steel piles at the toes of the two sides of the breakwater, respectively fixing pipe heads at the two ends of the steel wire hose at the tops of the two fixing steel piles, keeping the pipe heads to be higher than a water surface and filling water into the steel wire hose; 2) measuring the water level value of the water in the steel wire hose; 3) threading an automatic traction water level acquisition instrument for the traction steel wire through the steel wire hose and acquiring the water level value of the water in the steel wire hose; 4) subtracting the value obtained in the step 3 from the value obtained in the step 2 to obtain a first elevation value; 5) after a period of time, repeating the step 2 to the step 4 to obtain a second elevation value; 6) subtracting the second elevation value from the first elevation value to obtain a settlement value; 7) repeating the step 2 to the step 6 for multiple times to obtain continuous settlement. The monitoring method of breakwater foundation settlement has the advantages that the monitoring method is simple and convenient, the interference to construction is small and the protection is facilitated.
