Disclosed is a transparent organic light emitting device (10) on a transparent substrate (101) between two transparent electrodes (102, 104) comprises an organic functional layer stack (103) emitting at least one organic light-emitting layer that is adapted , in the operation of the device (10) in a light emitting region (110) to generate light, and at least one transparent layer (20) which is disposed above the light emitting region (110) of the at least one organic light-emitting layer and the at least two partial regions (21 , 22) which are perceptible (at least in a switched-off state of the device 10) with a different transparency.
