A new mode of healthy housekeeper based on clinical pathway in prevention of drug-resistant bacterial infection in severe respiratory patients

2019
Objective To observe the effect of a new mode of healthy housekeeper based on clinical pathway in prevention of drug-resistant bacterial infection in severe respiratory patients. Methods 90 patients with severe respiratory diseases admitted to our hospital from February, 2016 to October, 2018 were selected as observation objects, and were randomly divided into an observation group (45 cases) and a control group (45 cases). The new mode of health butler based on clinical path was used in the observation group, and the routine nursing was used in the control group. The compliance of drug use, the incidence of drug-resistant bacteria infection, and the change of quality of life in the two groups were compared. Results The compliance score was significantly better in the observation group than in the control group [7 (6, 8) vs. (6 (5, 6); Z=-4.235, P<0.05]. The incidence of drug-resistant bacteria was significantly lower in the observation group than in the control group [4.44% (2/45) vs. 26.67% (12/45), P<0.05]. The scores of acute physiology and chronic health symptoms in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The new health butler mode based on clinical pathway can improve the compliance and quality of life of patients with severe respiratory diseases, and help to reduce the risk of drug-resistant bacterial infection. It has the value of nursing reference. Key words: Clinical pathway; A new mode of health management; Respiratory department; Severe; Drug-resistant bacterial infection
