Geoelectrical measurements at the KTB location

1989
The geoelectrical measurements in the neighbourhood of both drilling sites revealed a large variation of the resistivity from the southwest towards the northeast. It seems that this may be explained by the existence of considerable amounts of graphite down to great depths, which was indeed confirmed by the results in the predrilling hole with several graphitic "layers" down to 2000 m.
