Does textile sector trade of Mexico drive international competitive advantage

This paper analyses how China's admission into the World Trade Organization (WTO) has affected the Mexican Textile Industry. The authors discuss the implications of China's entry into the WTO for Mexico and the bilateral relationship between China and Mexico from the perspective of growth in international trade and economic development. The issues of foreign direct investment (FDI), tariffs and business environment for the foreign companies in Mexico have also been discussed in the paper.
