Личностные особенности верующей молодежи

Abstract. Religiousness as a system of collective ideas about the world creation, since its origin has carried adaptive function and gave existence over a certain sense. How it helps or hinders religious consciousness to adapt in modern society? What is the impact of religiousness on the character and personality of the modern young man? Is the influence constructive or destructive? Based on the great experimental data and on the example of Christian denominations, the author gives the answers to these questions. The aim of the article is to study the patterns and the social and psychological mechanisms of religious identification of young people in modern Russia; development of the concept of religious identity. The object of the article are young people with a different attitude to religion, University students. The subject of the research are psychological peculiarities of religious identity on the example of the younger generation and the impact of religiosness on the character and personality of the young person. The article substantiates the conclusion that religious identification promotes formation in the structure of the personality of the new system of individual properties, limited religious canons, contributes to polymorphic relations between religious views, and other individual qualities of personality and leads to the restriction of individuality.
