Device for the Evaluation of Beat to Beat Vascular Reactivity: A Pilot Study

2020
There is a relationship between vascular reactivity, risk factors and the possibility of developing cardiovascular diseases at an early age. That is why it is essential to make contributions of measurements that can contribute to the prevention of changes associated with arterial wall damage. This paper presents the development of a device based on the photoplethysmography (PPG) technique for the evaluation of vascular reactivity (VR) in response to a flow mediated dilation maneuver, where RV is beat to beat characterized in terms of parameters associated to PPG morphology.
