Redundant electricity for autonomous vehicles

A system includes a first battery that is configured for powering at least one vehicle subsystem, and a second battery that is configured for energizing an electric motor to drive a vehicle. A processing device is configured to detect one of the first battery to the at least one vehicle subsystem supplied inadequate power level and selective partitioning of the second battery to energize the at least one vehicle subsystem.
