Design and development of tourism planning management information system based on map objects

Tourism planning has a close relationship with spatial geographic information.Building tourism planning management infor-mation system is beneficial for integrated management and planning of tourism region.On the basis of narrating the development style of tourism planning management information system,the main construction and function of the system is put forward,determining the method of integrated designing of tourism region database,realizing the connecting of spatial database and relation database and the gra-phic display of information data is realized.Combing with MO,system function of information inquiring,statistical analysis,basic layer operation and tourism region spatial analysis based on VB are designed.The key technology of databases connecting and spatial subject maps making is analyzed,the core codes are described.The developed system,which operates normally after adjustment,can be extensively used in planning and management of all kinds of tourism resources.
