Transition metal based organic framework with three-dimensional conducting network for electrochemical energy storage and conversion
2021
Abstract A series of in-situ grown bimetallic Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) self-supporting electrodes with an easy one-step strategy have been designed, which meet many requirements for high-performance electrode materials. The presence of iron and the increase in redox active sites, the material exhibits astonishing electrochemical activity for both oxygen evolution reaction (OER) and hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). The prototype electrolytic unit for overall water splitting with Ni/Fe3-MOF electrode displays similar catalytic performance to the benchmark precious metal-based catalysts. Moreover, Ni/Fe3-MOF showed an excellent specific capacitance of 6377.6 mF cm-2.
