MAIN FACTORS AND CLINICAL MEASURES FOR FAILURE OF PORCELAIN TOOTH IN THE OLD POPULATION

[Objective]To investigate the main factors and clinical measures for failure of porcelain tooth in the old population.[Methods]From February 2008 to August 2010,32 elderly patients with porcelain tooth failure were analyzed retrospectively to understand the main factors.[Results]The main failure reasons for 32 cases included:unmatched color,gingival problem,tooth crack,porcelain crack,porcelain tooth loss,food impaction and so on.[Conclusion]Unmatched color and gingival margin are the main failure factors for porcelain tooth in elderly patients.By improving tooth preparation,gingival retraction,impression,production,try-on,adhesion can be very good to prevent the failure.
