A small molecule inhibitor of a4 integrin-dependent cell migration

2009
A small molecule inhibitor of a4 integrin-dependent cell migration was identified through a cell-based screen of small molecule libraries. Biochemical and cellular experiments suggest that this molecule functions by interacting with γ-parvin. This molecule should serve as a useful tool to study α4 integrin signaling and may lead to new therapeutics for the treatment of autoimmune diseases.
