Study on type D personality and family environments of adolescents with Internet Addiction Disorder

Objective To explore the personality and family environments characteristics of adolescents with internet addiction disorder and further explore the social and psychological mechanisms from internet addiction.Methods We adapted control case study to test 98 children with internet addiction disorder and 100 health control children with type D personality scale and family environments scale.The data were tested and got correlation analysis.Results Family environments factors and D-type personality factors in internet addiction group were significantly different than that of control group(P0.01).Conclusions Adolescents with internet internet addiction disorder has a personality defect.Poor family environments have an important impact on the form of internet addiction.
