Shuttering constitutes the mold for the unit to be manufactured. The design of this must meet the high requirements placed on dimensional compliance, surface quality and mechanical stability. Shuttering work that is not carried out satisfactorily leads to deficiencies in the quality. Even following the introduction of shuttering robots, there is still a very large potential remaining for rationalization in this field. This article reports on an intelligent shuttering system that unites economic points of view with the highest degree of flexibility and quality, and takes the requirements from the market for variability in prefabricated concrete units into account as well.
