ZONEAMENTO EDAFOCLIMÁTICO PARA O EUCALYPTUS UROPHYLLA NO ESTADO DO TOCANTINS EDAPHIC-CLIMATIC ZONING FOR EUCALYPTUS UROPHYLLA IN THE STATE OF TOCANTINS

2015
Edaphic-climatic zoning for eucalyptus cultivation in the State of Tocantins, in particular for species of Eucalyptus urophylla was performed. For that has been used the parameters that reflect the climatic requirements for the proper development of the species, natural edaphic aptitude and the slope of the land for the purposes of mechanization of culture. In the generation of maps and cross a GIS was used. In the first phase of the work proceeded to the intersection of basic maps of precipitation, temperature and water deficit, which resulted in zoning of climatic aptitude. In the second phase is generated natural edaphic zoning competence based on the units of current soils in the state. From the results obtained it was prepared edaphic-climatic zoning for the species. The results showed that there is no thermal constraint to the development of this species, however there will be the need of using of irrigation during periods of soil water deficit. Related to the climate there was a predominance of areas with marginal and restricted aptitude. Regarding the natural edaphic aptitude, there was a predominance of soils considered unfavorable, but noted there are significant areas with favorable aptitude. These results influenced the edaphic-climatic zoning for the species E. urophylla, noting that most of the state has inept unfavorable climate and soil, but we
