Computers in surveying

This report was commissioned by the computer project group recently established by a group of surveying practitioners. The specific areas for investigation and recommendations were: 1) systems with an initial cost of up to $10,000; 2) systems with an initial cost of $10,000 - $20,000; 3) information on hp9826, plotter/ printer options, floppy disk drives, the system used by BHP; and 4) consideration of total station systems and interfacing of data recorders with computer systems (a).
