WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO TRAIN WITH ACNEM? I write from a balcony overlooking Darwin Harbour at sunset as I begin a 14 day coronavirus selfisolation on route to assist in providing emergency and maternity services for an isolated, disadvantaged and largely Indigenous township. My entry into integrative medicine was motivated by curiosity but I had stepped away from training for a time. I had been feeling a little cynical that the engine powering the integrative health approach was largely profit-driven and not subsidised by the public health system. It had occurred to me that the people who could potentially benefit the most were excluded because of structural, social, racial and economic prejudices.
