Segmentación de disco óptico de imágenes del fondo de la retina

En este articulo se presenta una metodologia para la segmentacion de disco optico de imagenes del fondo de la retina, donde la aportacion principal reside en el preprocesamiento de las imagenes. El modelo se divide en dos fases. En la primera se realiza un preprocesamiento de la imagen realizando correcciones de iluminacion, removido de venas y reconstruccion de la imagen. En la segunda fase se realiza la localizacion del disco optico y la segmentacion de este. Los resultados de la segmentacion automatica se comparan con la segmentacion de un experto en oftalmologia dando como resultado un indice de coincidencia alto para las imagenes del conjunto utilizado. This article presents a methodology for the segmentation of the optic disc of images of the retina fundus, where the main contribution resides in the preprocessing of the images. The model is divided into two phases. In the first, image preprocessing is performed by performing lighting corrections, vein removal, and image reconstruction. In the second phase, the location of the optic disc and its segmentation are performed. The results of the automatic segmentation are compared with the segmentation of an ophthalmology expert resulting in a high coincidence index for the images of the set used.
