Application and analysis method on the arc supporting structure for the stability of foundation pit in the slope

2019
Foundation pit in slope is a special geotechnical engineering problem in the areas of hilly and mountainous. Because of its semi-enclosed features, pit in slope has a special effect of structural mechanics, which is different from the closed flat ground pit and the open slope. Interval linear Row Pile structures were widely applied in support project such as deep foundation pit or slope. But, when pit in slope, anchorage cable or inner strut on the pile can't be used because of work space or geological condition limit, the internal forces in the structure will increases rapidly which is in less than optimal structure. The support structure system consists of interval arc row piles and arc linking beam on the top of the piles was put forward to make use of the good geotechnical condition in two sides of foundation pit. The support structure system is a higher degree indeterminate structure, so its inner forces calculation is so complicated that it cannot be used widely. The engineering field mostly designed it depending on the experience of the ground foundation pit or slope engineering. For this reason, based on the stress characteristics of the supporting structure on pit in slope and its bearing load, the theory formulas to calculate inner forces of the arc support system structure were deduced under appropriate simplifying conditions. When the formulas were applied to the design of support structure of a bridge pit in a slope in Chengdu, the calculated and analyzed results were in good agreement with the facts. The arc support system structure provides a new thought for design and calculation method of similar project, and the establishment of the inner force calculation method also provides a simple reference tool for the peer.
