Ferritic stainless steel comprising: C in 0.015% by mass or less; If 0.4 to 1.0 mass%; Mn 1.0% by mass or less; P at 0.040 mass% or less; S at 0.010% by mass or less; Cr between 16 and 23% by mass; To between 0.2 and 1.0 mass%; N 0.015% by mass or less; Cu from 1.0 to 2.5 mass%; Nb 0.3 to 0.65% by mass; Ti 0.5% by mass or less; Mo 0.1% by mass or less; W 0.1% by mass or less; and one or two or more selected from B between 0.0005 and 0.003 mass%, Co from 0.005 to 0.5 mass%, Ni from 0.05 to 0.5 mass%, provided Si and Al the Si (mass%)> = Al (mass%); and optionally one or two or more selected from REM by 0.08 mass% or less, Zr 0.50% by mass or less, V in 0.5 mass% or less; and Fe and unavoidable impurities as a remainder.
