The invention discloses a method and a device for issuing traffic information of a radio data broadcast system and relates to the field of navigation. The method comprises the following steps: considering each estimation index of road condition in balance; calculating an important level weight value of traffic information of each road of which the traffic state is crowded or amble; ordering the traffic information of each road according to the important level weight value; and issuing the traffic information through an RDS (radio data broadcast system) issuing channel according to an order of the important level weight values from high to low. The device comprises a weight value calculation module and an order issuing module. According to the embodiment of the invention, each estimation index of the road condition can be comprehensively considered in balance, so that the quantity of effective data in the issued data of the RDS is improved, namely the validity of the issued data of the RDS is improved, and the issued information is enabled to be more accurate and reasonable.
