Discussions on Some Strategic Issues in Chinese Railway Development

Based on the characteristics of the development of China economy and transportation, this paper analyzes the situation that China railway is facing. From the viewpoint of system reformation and technical services, the paper discusses the measures and their effects that railway departments have applied to enhance the competition of railway enterprises, and advances strategies that railway would adopt during "Ten Five" period in order to realize better construction of railway networks , improve the railway service quality, speed up the information system construction and prompt the application of technical innovations and operational reformation.
