Automatic perceptual monitor

PURPOSE: To provide an automatic device which monitors auditory data on a wild living thing and records the data so that the data can be analyzed and confirmed later. CONSTITUTION: This device includes one or more microphone 8 which are connected to a recorder 10 for recording the voice of a wild living thin in digital format. Recording data which are obtained as a result are preprocessed by a neural network so as to confirm their kind and divided into segments, which are analyzed. Consequently, the necessity of human interference and the subjective interpretation of the recorded voice can be reduced as much as possible.
