Alpenkonvention, International Decade of Natural Disaster Reduction und Interpraevent

International declaration of intent for precautions against natural disasters are at present being discussed: the U.N. Decade for the reduction of natural disasters, which started in 1989: the Alps Convention, existing since 1991. In Austria, INTERPREVENT started to investigate into the scientific fundamentals and actual precautions in the form of active and passive environmentally compatible protection schemes. A comprehensive bibliography including an index is now available.
