The present investigation had as objective to determine why the creation of a guide of didactic material from sensory masses can be an alternative to develop fine motor skills in children from 4 to 5 years in the CDI Avelina Lasso, in order not to have problems in the prewriting process and lower the percentage of problems of this kind in schooling. The investigation had a qualitative approach, descriptive level and bibliographic and field type, as techniques and instruments was applied the observation to the students, interview to the director and surveys to the teachers of this campus. The sensory masses are an educational resource, which are made from the mixture of different things for example liquid and flour, improves brain activity, viso-motor coordination, sensory perceptions, creativity, imagination and fantasy, and allows transmitting thoughts, feelings, and Knowledge. It is ideal for children who are restless, impulsive, have difficulties with attention, concentration, tonicity and coordination, it allows them to relax.
