A near infrared photopolarimeter

Abstract A Photopolarimeter suitable for astronomical work in the 5–20 μm region is described. The “visibility” of the instrument at the focus of a telescope is evaluated and preliminary results are given, relative to observations carried out at the Coude focus of the 193 cm telescope of the Observatoire de Haute Provence.
