CONTROL MOLECULAR DE LA INFLAMACIÓN: REGULACIÓN DE LOS RECEPTORES TIPO TOLL*

2009
The origin and intensity of most inflammatory illnesses is caused by the unbalanced production of mediators that regulate these processes. In an attempt to better understand these pathologies, a Toll like receptors family that detect molecular patterns associated to danger (DAMP's) has been identified; recognition of these signals by these family of receptors starts intracellular processes that lead to the expression of inflammatory mediators. The current question is to understand how these mechanisms are controlled and what are the dysfunctions that lead to disease states; this review cover how are activated and regulated the signaling pathways of these receptors family.
