A Commentary on the Public Signs Translation Research in China

Based on all the articles on signs translation published from Jan,1989—Feb,2007 by the three key Chinese journals of translation(Chinese Translators Journal,Chinese Science and Technology Translators,Shanghai Journal of Translators) as well as some other journals,this paper gives a brief introduction to the public signs translation research in China,summarizes its features and offers the writer's comments and tips to the further research in this field.
