翘嘴鳜肌球蛋白轻链3b基因(MLC3b)的分子克隆和特征分析

The mandarin fish recently has been becoming one of the most important aquaculture fish species in China because of its good meat quality and protein composition. In order to understand the genetic basis of good meat quality traits, we cloned the myosin light chain MLC3b gene cDNA sequence of mandarin fish by RT-PCR method. The MLC3b gene is 453 bp in length, encoding 150 amino acids, and the amino acid sequence contains two conserved EF-hand motifs and one conserved C terminal sequences by using the indicating PROSITE tools software. Besides there is non-coding regions of MLC3a, which is the specific marker sequence in higher vertebrates. And the cDNA sequence of MLC3b gene shared homology of 97.7% with MLC3a. The results of our study would provide the basics of molecular biology for the investigation of the MLC gene structure and its function on muscle in S. chuasti.
