Massa de forragem e características morfológicas do milho e da Brachiaria brizantha cv. Piatã cultivados em sistema de consórcio

2012
The work in question was developed during the off-season of 2010, which included the period January to June, and focused primarily assessed the morphological characteristics of a variety of corn (MAXIMUS-TL) and three sowing B. brizantha cv. Piata sown in the consortium in no-tillage system. The experiment was carried out at the Forage, UNESP, College of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Campus of Jaboticabal, adopting a completely randomized design in a factorial 3 x 1, with treatments combining the three levels of seeding B . brizantha cv. Piata with corn, in the form of consortium. The corn plants were harvested when they had more than 30% of dry matter. No significant differences for some traits, even as the morphological characteristics, except height and placement of plants, percentage and total dry matter production. In the case of pasture also no statistical difference in some production traits, although there was difference of up to 1144.4 kg ha-1 total dry matter production between the density 1(1 line) and 2 (broadcast). There were variations in the number of tillers, percentage and total dry matter production and total production. The corn production is positively influenced by the different treatments of sowing and cultivating Brachiaria brizanth was established in the area. This way, the seeding of grass of Piata with two rolls of planted between row of corn should be indicated by providing better training to maximize the production of pasture and corn.
