The invention discloses a bamboo root carving manufacturing process with the capability of corrosion and cracking prevention. The bamboo root carving manufacturing process comprises the following steps: 1) material selection: selecting a bamboo root which is not dry and is in a suitable shape, and washing cleanly; 2) shaping: firstly, chipping root hairs, then digging out an outline by using a chisel, and then caving into a root carving product; 3) cooking: putting the root carving product in a hot water vessel at the temperature of 60-80 DEG C, standing for 10-20min, then heating water in the vessel to the boiling state, and keeping for 8-10h; 4) carbonizing; 5) corrosion prevention treatment: soaking the root carving product after being carbonized with a preservative for 3-5h; 6) drying: naturally drying the root carving product after being treated by the fifth step; 7) polishing: polishing the whole body of the root carving by using raw emery paper firstly during polishing, and then polishing by using fine sandpaper; and 8) primer painting, photocuring and primer grinding treatments: sequentially carrying out primer painting, photocuring and primer grinding treatments on the root carving product after being polished. The manufacturing process can prevent the bamboo root carving product goes bad, cracks from dryness and goes mouldy after a long time, and thus the ornamental value can be prolonged, and the collection value can be increased.
