A quality analysis and sorting device conducts real-time sorting on the series numbers of the negotiable bills and corresponding codes in a section mode, determines the sorting target of the negotiable bills, and transmits the sorting target corresponding to the negotiable bills to a sorting control device. The sorting control device generates a control command according to the sorting target corresponding to the negotiable bills and the operating state of a motor of a negotiable bill sorting system and sends the control command to a sorting execution device. The sorting execution device conducting sorting according to the control command and conveys the negotiable bills to a sorting target position. According to the technical scheme of the negotiable bill sorting system and the negotiable bill sorting method, quality analysis and series number sorting of the negotiable bill can be simultaneously conducted, and therefore sorting efficiency is improved.
