A New DC Multi-Pulse Integrated Shipboard Power Supply System and Performance Analysis Referring to Transformer Non-Integer Turns Ratio Deviation
2020
The shipboard power supply system contributes to the next-generation vessels development. In this sense, based on the magnetic-integrated multipulse converter transformer (MI-MPCT), a new dc-multipulse-integrated shipboard power supply system (dc-MISPSS) is proposed in this article, with the expectations of reducing volume, improving power quality, whilst mitigating vibration and noise of a rectifier transformer. Benefited from the magnetic-integrated technology, the MI-MPCT with small size and low cost is introduced into the dc-MISPSS, and the volume of the novel system is expected to be decreased significantly. In addition, to explore some certain standards and references for engineering application, the typical power quality indexes of dc-MISPSS are calculated quantitatively. Especially considering the MI-MPCT noninteger turns ratio deviation in practice, the actual system performances are also analyzed. Furthermore, based on the high-capacity engineering prototype, the simulated and experimental results validate that the dc-MISPSS performs well on harmonic elimination, circulation-currents suppression, and dc-voltage ripple restraint. Synthesizing theoretical analysis and experimental results, dc-MISPSS is suitable for industrial application in vessels.
