Recurrent syncope and presyncope

1analyse the use of autonomic investigations in 641 patients with recurrent syncope and presyncope. We accept that they aim to identify the final diagnosis, the contribution of screening autonomic function tests, and whether in some patients additional autonomic investigations helped diagnosis. However, we question the relevance of this analysis to everyday clinical practice. The super-selected group of patients presented is not representative of patients presenting with symptoms of syncope or presyncope. 2
