LAS MATERNIDADES FALLIDAS EN LAS MILITANTES DEL MOVIMIENTO DE IZQUIERDA REVOLUCIONARIO MIR EN CHILE

RESUMEN Nos referiremos a la nocion de “madres fallidas” en mujeres del Movimiento de Izquierda Revolucionaria MIR chileno (1965-1987), a traves del analisis de testimonios respecto de como ellas vivieron sus maternazgos en el periodo militante. El concepto alude al de “malasmadres” utilizado por Marcela Lagarde, referido a aquellas que fallan respecto del mandato mas rigido e incuestionable de la feminidad hegemonica: LA maternidad. Esta, entendida como un ideal abstracto con el que ninguna de las madres reales puede cumplir, y del que estas militantes se alejaron de manera importante. Por una parte, al verse insatisfechas con la mera reproduccion y crianza, anhelando y eligiendo un proyecto para si: la revolucion. Y, por otra, al priorizar por el proyecto politico antes que la maternidad hegemonica, lo que se constata cuando decidieron dejar a sus hijos e hijas al cuidado de otros o al hacerlos parte de los peligros de la militancia. Esta opcion disonante con lo mandatado, tuvo costos especificos para estas militantes, al ser utilizada por la represion para atormentarlas. FAILED MATERNITIES IN THE MILITANTS OF THE REVOLUTIONARY LEFT  MOVEMENT MIR IN CHILE ABSTRACT We refer to the notion of "failed mothers" in women of the Chilean Revolutionary Left Movement MIR (1965-1987), through the analysis of testimonies about how they lived their motherhood in the militant period. The concept alludes to the one of "malasmadres" used by Marcela Lagarde to refer to those that fail to fulfill the most rigid and unquestionable mandate of the hegemonic femininity: THE maternity. This, understand as an abstract ideal that none of the real mothers can meet, and of which these militants moved away. On the one hand, by been dissatisfied with the mere reproduction and upbringing of their children, longing for and choosing a project for themselves: the revolution. And, on the other, by prioritizing the political project before the hegemonic maternity, proven by the decision to leave their children in the care of others or making them part of the dangers of militancy. This dissonant option with the mandated, had specific costs for these militants, by beeing used by the repression to torment them.
