RAM Effects on Hadoop Performance

Hadoop is a distributed processing system with parallel processing paradigm. Instead of buying high-end server computers, we can connect a few commodity machines to solve big problems. In this paper, the effect of the type of RAM installed in each computer on the overall Hadoop performance was experimented. Dual channel RAM showed better performance than single channel RAM.
