A Educação Ambiental e a implantação de horta escolar

This study worked on a school garden approach as a ludicity element of mediation in the teaching-learning process. The study was carried out at Colegio Estadual Raphael Serravalle, municipality of Salvador, Bahia. The study had the participation of students in the 6th year of elementary school. The methods used were based on action research. The installation and maintenance of the school garden served as a ludic didactic tool, in which the contexts and actions of doing, mediated discussions about food security, nutritional value of food and pesticides. As a result of the environmental education action, the school community appropriated the concepts and discussions, from then on students and teachers transferred the knowledge accumulated in the process of installation, maintenance and educational discussions about the school garden for a board game for elementary school students.
