Thin-layer chromatographic analysis of HMX in water.

HMX may be determined in concentrations down to 0.05 ppm in water by a combination of extraction, concentration, and thin-layer chromatography. The solubility of HMX in water was determined to be 5.0 ppm at 22° ± 2°C.
